Medical animations & videos
Videos and animations help to build your reputation and represent you as a true competitor in your market.
Custom medical animations to explain your science story
We work with your budget to create 2D or 3D animations to make sure that prospective investors, patients, and the general public see how valuable your product is. Our expertise in this area will help to guide you down the best route for you.
Where can they be used?
Use videos and animations on your website or promote them on your social media channels before you hit the conference floor or to start your product launch. These short form video topics can also be easily shared with media and investors to help people quickly understand your science and/or product.
Return of investment
Videos and animations have a lot of reusability and longevity. Use them as a starting point in your website, loop them at conferences, or splice them up as social media posts to encourage more engagement and bring value to your audiences.
These videos can also be used to help you expand your team—attract new talent or use these videos to onboard new staff members.
Our medical animation & video products
Medical animations don’t fall into one category. There are multiple uses that determine our strategy to how we approach a video product. Here are some examples of how we categorise our animation projects.

Our custom medical animation production pipeline
Animation projects are high budget and take a lot of production time. Because of this, we have a streamlined process that ensures your animations are delivered to you, on spec, within budget, and on time. Here is a brief overview of what our animation process looks like >>
It starts with a message, an email or an inquiry. Come share your ideas with us and tell us a bit about what you want to do. During this time we will ask lots of questions and discuss project goals, key messaging, visuals, branding, schedules, budget, and final deliverables to see how we can work with you to bring your ideas to life.
Step 1 | Strategy development
We usually ask that our clients come to us with an approved script (med-legal approved if it applies). Though our team do not provide script writing services, we do have agency partners that we can recommend, if the budget allows for it.
Step 2 | Script development
We dive into our research to understand the science story before we begin concept sketching visual solutions to the challenges that have been laid out in the creative brief. We then send this to you for review and feedback notes.
Step 3 | Moodboard
Step 4 | Storyboards
We implement your feedback notes and tighten up the illustrations in the form of tight sketches. Colour may be introduced at this stage and you will have another opportunity to provide your valued feedback so that we move the project forward towards our final goal.
Step 5 | Animated storyboards
It’s useful to see how the visuals flow with one another in a rough animated storyboard and scratch voiceover. This allows us to check out the pacing of the animation and make any minor edits before we move into animation production.
Once the storyboard has been signed off we move into animation production. Here we build the animation assets and block out our animation elements with rough voiceover and music. We usually incorporate two rounds of this and you will be able to see iterations of improvement as we refine it together.
Step 6 | Animation Round 1 & 2
This is where we have successfully taken the video to where we all want it to be. At this stage we should aim to sign off on the animation so that there are no changes.
Step 7 | Fine cut
Step 8 | Final voiceover & sound
With the video signed off, we can now record the final narration with a professional voiceover artist and add in final sound effects and music.
This is the final stage where we hand over the final video(s) based on the specs you have provided in the creative brief.
Step 9 | Final delivery
