We help bring your science story to life.
As medical illustration experts, we combine our science knowledge and design thinking to make attention-grabbing content for our clients in the medical and pharmaceutical industry.
Our Approach
You + us = team
We firmly believe in a collaborative working relationship with our clients and we work best with clients who are passionate and involved. This is where the best results can be achieved. From the very beginning we want to know your science story, what it is you want to tell, and what you want to teach to your audience. We don’t make a start until we fully understand what your goals are.
Why we create
What excites us is creating something that people want to look at and learn from, rather than have to because they need to understand a disease process or surgery. Through this we combine our love of design and science to ignite that spark of learning that empowers our audiences with a better understanding of science.
Our capabilities
We have a wide range of capabilities but it all circles around one thing, and that’s telling your science story. If you have an idea, reach out to us and we’ll try to use our skills to help or signpost you to the right people that can help.

Our Roadmap
1) Getting to know you
It starts with a message, an email, an inquiry. Come share your ideas with us and tell us a bit about what it is you want to do. During this time we will ask lots of questions to see whether or not we can meet your timelines, budget and requirements.
2) Collaborative brief
If we think that we can be the right fit for your project, let’s sit down and start to plan your project. We’ll put together a creative brief that will serve as a guideline for how we’ll achieve your project.
3) It’s all about the research
What makes us different from other forms of general illustration and animation is the research. This part of pre-production is the most labour intensive part of the process because we want to make sure that we’re getting the science right from the very beginning as well as providing you with enough tools and resources for important med-legal reviews.
4) Getting down to the work
Once we have a solid understanding of the science story we roll up our sleeves and ramp up our creative flow. Now we being to make the science story come to life through engaging and beautiful visuals.
5) Your valued input
Throughout this whole process, we look to you for your guidance and valued input to make sure that what we’re creating aligns with your project goals. This is how we’re going to be working together as a team to move the project forward.
6) Final delivery
Our checkpoints and milestones will have gradually moved our production towards the end goal. Thanks to your feedback during reviews we’re confident that we’re delivering a visualisation that meets your needs. We’ll package the assets for you and make sure there’s lots of reusability for your materials.
Frequently asked questions
When should we reach out to you?
If you’re preparing for a media launch, conference, publication, or something else, we recommend you reach out to us at least 1 month in advance for illustration work and at least 3 months in advance for video or animation work. This will give our team enough time to work with you to produce high-quality visuals that fit your needs.
How long does it take to create an illustration?
Depending on the complexity of the illustration, it can take between 3 weeks to 2 months. This timeline includes your review times—we have a rigorous client review process included in our schedules. These reviews can include any medical-legal reviews that your image might need to undergo.
How long does it take to create an animation?
Animation timelines depend on the complexity of the animation, your budget, whether it’s 2D or 3D, and many other factors. We generally advise that animation productions span around 3 to 4 months but this could increase depending on a variety of factors. Having a solid creative brief at hand will help estimate the length of the production.
What should we prepare?
It all begins with an idea and a message you want to share or teach. Put this in writing and feel free to reach out to us to discuss further or if you need help putting together a creative brief.
What are your prices?
Our prices are based on our client’s project requirements. Our clients’ projects are unique, each have their own goals. In order for us to provide a price quote, we would first need to understand your project and what you’re looking for. Feel free to reach out to us and we can see how best we can help.
