Visualizing Anti-CD47 Antibody Mechanism and Lab Protocols

Bringing Complex Science to Life with 3D Animation

>> See video preview

We created a medical animation exploring the mechanism of action and challenges associated with anti-CD47 monoclonal antibodies.

These antibodies enhance phagocytosis but can interfere with serology testing due to CD47’s presence on red blood cells, potentially delaying compatible blood provision and increasing the risk of undetected alloantibodies, which may lead to hemolytic transfusion reactions. The animation also provides guidance for laboratories managing patients receiving anti-CD47 therapies, helping them establish effective protocols.
