CAR-T cell Therapy
3D illustrations for website and marketing to showcase CART-T cell therapy
CAR-T cell therapy is a treatment used in some forms of childhood leukaemia and adult lymphomas. It works by filtering out T cells from the blood and modifying them in the laboratory to give them cancer-fighting properties that train these cells to recognise and act on the cancer cells.
Three images were initially requested to show the CAR-T cell destroying a cancer cell by phagocytosis, a stand-alone image of a CAR-T cell and a group of CAR-T cells and cancers cells. It was important to include the cells floating rather in on a surface with a clean design, avoiding complicated backgrounds and any association of the cells being in a human body. The client wanted to be able to repurpose the images so that they could easily be adapted and inserted into any future marketing materials, but also wanted the flexibility of having animation ready assets, should they decide on creating an animation at a later date.
This project went through several iterations to achieve the final product with a look and feel the client really loved.
